18 – 30 months A nurturing space where toddlers explore through movement, language, and hands-on learning, building independence from the start.
Ages 30 months – Ready for Kindergarten Curiosity leads the way – children build foundational academic skills while nurturing independence abstract thing, and real-world problem-solving skills.
5 years by the start of the school year Kindergarteners explore their world while learning reading, writing, science, math, and real-world skills in an environment designed to encourage independence.
18 months – 12 years A blend of Montessori learning and summer fun! Art projects, teamwork, water and outdoor play!

For that is the time period when a person’s intelligence is being formed. From conception to age four, the child develops 50% of his mature intelligence. My name is Karin Morgenstern Saunders. I was born and raised in Germany and came to the United States on a 90-day Fiancé visa to marry my husband, Dave. I have worked in a Montessori environment for 33 years. First as an assistant, and for the last 13 years as a lead teacher. In that time, I have attended numerous workshops and classes including the yearly AMS conferences in Colorado and Washington DC. My hope is to use the knowledge learned about the Montessori processes to continue to educate your children this year, and years to come.

I have a background of over twenty years educating young children in various capacities as well as fifteen years practicing the Montessori methods. As a Kindergarten teacher with Montessori experience, I am uniquely equipped to build on the children’s Montessori learning. This scaffolding of their academic skills helps to prepare each one for First Grade. Thank you for entrusting your children to us every day. I consider it my greatest honor and highest privilege.

Montessori Education was founded in 1907 by Dr. Maria Montessori. She was the first female Dr. in Italy and devoted her life to visionary methods and insights into how children learn. Dr. Montessori developed what is called the “prepared environment” which already possesses a certain order and disposes the child to develop at an individual speed, according to the child’s capacities and in a non-competitive atmosphere during the first few years of school.
